As a diverse and inclusive college, our community represents all segments of society. So, it’s important for us to celebrate and promote diversity and equality this month, and always, through our day-to-day work at the college. One of the latest things that we’re proud to introduce is pronoun pins!

Theatrical and Media Makeup alumni, Jenna Mcdonnell, developed the foundations for a successful career in the makeup industry at Â鶹´«Ã½ÍŶÓ. This has led to her setting up a high-profile event with internationally renowned Makeup Artist Mimi Choi.

Employability Week is coming up at Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó from 31st January – 6th February, and we’ve got a whole host of activities lined up for our learners to get involved in and boost their chances of landing a role in the competitive jobs market.

Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó is the place where success begins for so many people! Numerous actors, entrepreneurs, musicians, and sports stars have begun their journey at one of our five campuses, and Dan Nicholls joins them as one of our successful alumni working at Dragons Rugby.

This year, around 60 first and second year learners from Level 3 Motorsport Engineering at Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone are taking part in an exciting Student Motorsport Challenge in the City Car Cup!

Lecturer, Brian Back, has taught Sociology and Access to Humanities and Social Sciences at Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone for ten years. To continue passing on his experience, knowledge, support, and passion, Brian has written a book called ‘THE ANSWER TO LIFE: The Simple Solution to the Problems of Living’.
