This academic year has been a huge success for our female rugby and netball academies. The teams have excelled in their tournaments and competitions, coming out on top with a list of accolades and achievements this season.

Our Health and Social Care learners are the latest to be at the receiving end of some exciting new technology as part of their studies – augmented reality. Through a series of specially designed videos, learners can get up close to a range of care settings, preparing them for their work placements.

Hot on the heels of Level 3 Motorsport Engineering learners at Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone, Motor Vehicle students and staff at the City of Newport Campus are joining the City Car Cup Student Motorsport Challenge for some friendly inter-campus competition.

Jonathan studied Sport and Leisure at Crosskeys Campus and has led an exciting career in the worlds of rugby and business. Now working as Head of Commercial at Dragons Rugby, Jonathan is strengthening links between sport and education in the local area.

Special congratulations go to Peter Britton - Further Education Lecturer of the Year, and Jacqui Spiller - Welsh Medium Teacher of the Year, for their well-deserved wins in the South Wales Argus School and Education Awards 2022.
