Home to over 200 animals including reptiles, mammals, birds and invertebrates, our animal care centre at Usk Campus has recently undergone a huge renovation, welcoming some exciting new residents.

Our Employer Engagement department were delighted to sponsor the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year鈥檚 South Wales Argus Business Awards, which took place on Thursday 24th November.

This year, we've celebrated our best results ever in the WorldSkills UK finals. Not only did we climb into the top three in the UK for both mainstream and foundation competitions, but we鈥檙e also now the best performing college in Wales, with 11 skills champions who scooped gold, silver, bronze and highly commended medals. We鈥檙e proud to announce that 麻豆传媒团队 is a finalist in the prestigious AoC Beacon Awards 2022. The awards celebrate the best and most innovative practice among UK further education colleges, and our Cyber College Cymru initiative was nominated for the Edge Award for Excellence in Real World Learning.

Climate change is one of the most significant global challenges of our time. We can all play a part in helping to reduce our impact on the planet. So, we鈥檙e making sustainability a priority at 麻豆传媒团队. Our sustainability task force has a lot planned to improve our college and reduce our environmental impact, and we鈥檒l be focusing on travel, introducing recycling points, and building a more knowledgeable work force.

An innovative student support project has seen a new employee joining us this term - Pippa the Cavachon. As part of the Baxter Project, this curly haired, waggy tailed employee works alongside her human partner Julie, helping students to relax and open up about their struggles.
