Learners from Sport and Public Services at Blaenau Gwent Learning Zone have recently embarked on a Global Citizenship Programme to Nepal. They’ll be working with the FutureSense Foundation and its local teams to support rural, disadvantaged communities.
Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó students bring it home in Skills Competition Wales finals

Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó students have competed against hundreds across the country as part of Skills Competition Wales. This year, 113 students demonstrated their ability, competence and knowledge, bringing home a combined total of 17 medals in gold, silver and bronze categories.

Inspiring our students to constantly develop their skills and improve their confidence is very important to us as a college. Which is why we recently ran a brickwork skills competition at our Newport campus, to allow level 1 and 2 students to put their skills to the test.

Meet the BGLZ Rock School

Music, Maestro! Meet the BGLZ Rock School! The Rock School is a music programme aimed to push the music students’ song writing along with getting them out into the wider community. It works alongside their main music course, developing on their composition and live performance units.
