Employer Partnership Pledge
Shaping current and future skills. Inspiring individuals. Investing in the workforce of tomorrow.
Want to raise the profile of your organisation? Recruit and strengthen your talent pipeline? Establish a mutually beneficial relationship with one of Wales’ leading colleges?
The purpose of our Partnership Pledge is to strengthen industry links and boost engagement with employers to help meet regional skill priorities, support student outcomes and the local economy.
The impact of Covid-19 on our learners and businesses in the Gwent region has been unprecedented and we recognise that it may change ways of work and skills demands in the future. As we move forward, Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó aims to play a pivotal role in meeting these requirements.
The Pledge aims to support employers in our region to work more closely with our college, in order to make students work ready and equipped to successfully transition from our college into the local business community.
As the largest FE provider within the Gwent region with campuses across Newport, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire and Caerphilly, we recognise the importance of actively engaging and working with employers and stakeholders within our locality.
The purpose of the Pledge
The Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó â€˜Partnership’ Pledge will provide the platform for our students, businesses and education to engage for the benefit of the local area.
Through our pledge we aim to further build on our industry partnerships, placing employers at the heart of inspiring, informing and communicating directly with our students, showcasing career pathways and the exciting opportunities available within the world of work.
There is no one-size-fits all approach when it comes to employers engaging with our college but we are keen to develop future partnerships, and are open to a range of innovative and exciting ways that we can work with organisations to bring mutual benefit.
Getting Involved
The Pledge is FREE to join and will help to strengthen our engagement with industry partners and provide a two-way exchange of ideas and information to enable businesses and Â鶹´«Ã½ÍÅ¶Ó to work together.
All employers are welcome to enquire about becoming a pledge partner, whether you are a large organisation, SME or micro business. We have outlined below the various activities and initiatives where we think there is an opportunity for employers to work together with Â鶹´«Ã½ÍŶÓ.
