In a nutshell
If you’re in a supervisory role on site, you’ll need to be able to help plan and organise health and safety competently on site. This course gives you the knowledge and skills you need, as well as outlining the responsibilities you’re legally obliged to undertake.

... those aged over 19, in employment, and earning under £32,371 a year
… anyone who has or is about to take on supervisory responsibilities
… introducing you to health and safety, welfare and environmental issues
… developing an understanding of your legal responsibilities relevant to your work activities.
Course content
This essential 2-day course covers the following topics:
- The Health and Safety at Work Act
- Specific site challenges for supervisors
- Effective Tool Box Talks
- Supervision of occupational health
- Behavioural safety.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

After this course, you could decide to progress onto the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
